The Energy Survey will involve a visit to the property by the Domestic Energy Assessor who will record details of the elements and services which are used in the production of the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

Before the inspection begins, the seller/renter may be asked to complete a short questionnaire to assist the inspector in producing the EPC.                                                                                                                                                                                             A brief explanation will be given of how the survey will be undertaken.                                                                                                The inspection will take in the region of 1 hour during which time a full set of floor plans with measurements will be drawn up. The information collected will be keyed into Elmhurst Energy’s online secure software system at the assessors office and the EPC produced within 24 hours of inspection.                                                                                                                                          Some of the information recorded about the property is listed below:                                                                                         property type, property age, detachment, extensions, conservatorys, rooms in the roof, dimensions, construction type, roof, walls, windows, fireplaces, heating, lighting, and current insulation levels

The inspections make use of digital photography to capture images in and around the home and compliance with the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 for all recorded data is strictly maintained
